As a woman who doesn't know anything about cars, it can be notoriously difficult to find a good, honest and reliable mechanic. A mechanic who calls and tells me that the work I thought needed doing, doesn't actually need doing, and doesn't even try charging me for certain inspections on my car (although I was totally expecting to pay for this) will always get my repeat business and good reviews.. Took my car in expecting to have to spend quite a bit, walked out having spend nothing. Not to mention being able to get my car in the very next day after I called.. Great service and will definitely be back ?

Was on my way to work when my car brokedown while in the city. I had to tow my car back home. I have called Sam asking for help and he responded immediately and asked me to bring the car to his shop. The tow truck was almost 2 hours behind the expected time and after working hours, however, Sam waited patiently until they arrived. Sam is a very committed and honest person, he explains what he needs to do and always ask for approval before fixing anything in the car. Sam maintain professionalism and always provide with detailed information about what he has done. I have been using their services for the past 4 years and l am very happy, highly recommended.

The owner of the business is really great mechanic who is honest and very knowledgeable. He is always honest and will tell you the whole story upfront. He helped me after hours on auto electric issue when other auto mechanic gave up. I have no issues in recommended to my family and friends in past and have always service my cars there.

Sam and his team did an excellent job. The car was there a few days waiting on parts , but was still looked after . The car was even washed on handing back . More than happy with the work undertaken. More than happy to recommend them. Keep up the .good work Sam .

very reasonable prices. my car was completely dead nothing was turning on went to few places before Autoplus but no one could figure out the reason. But Sam did he has great knowledge in the car electrical system. highly recommend will be going nowhere else from now on.

Went in for spring replacement/ ride height adjustment. Charged less than quoted on time and with a smile. I would not take my car anywhere else or recommend him and his team any higher. Keep up the good work Sam

Great service i asked few places and they said they said its very hard to deactivate factory fitted mobilizer. Took my car to AutoPlus and Sam did that in half an hour and charged very reasonable price. Will be getting all my car repairs done from there.

Everyone makes mistakes and Sam the Manager does not take responsibility and he lies to cover up a possible mistake or a sneaky attempt to save himself some money. Do not recommend, not to be trusted.

I've been to countless mechanics across Melbourne and Sam is by far the most honest and professional. He gave me a reasonable quote for a very difficult job. The job took a lot longer than we expected and he still stuck to his original quote, And done a great job. Hi Sam, In response to your comment, the car that came through was brought in by my partner who I don’t share the same last name which is why you wouldn’t find my name in your system. I had a service completed which I honestly believe I was overcharged on as details on the itemised invoice I was provided with were not completed. The initial price given to me by reception was grossly under quoted as I paid a few hundred above what was initially expected and after calling through several times I was unable to get an answer back. This all happened earlier this year and I was considering not giving any feedback as I wanted to believe it was a one time issue. Recently however a family member went to your business and received less than ideal service and customer experience which is the reason I’m voicing this feedback and concern now.

I cannot recommend the team at Autoplus enough. After finding I needed new brake rotors I contacted the team, they gave me a quote on the phone immediately and also slotted me in the next day. As I had to wait at the workshop for the job to be completed Sam kindly offered to drop me to a local shopping plaza while I waited. They were kind, professional, well priced and got the work done. Will definitely be using the team again.

Needed a mechanic for a RWC - Sam was fantastic! Went above and beyond to assist (came in on a weekend to work on my car and everything). I couldn't have navigated an unnecessarily tricky process without him. Great service and friendly staff all around. Sam says they treat their customers like family, and it shows. I've had to change my review from 5 star to 1 star. I payed for an intake manifold clean. I thought he did the job pretty quick and reasonable. After driving the car I felt no change in performance. They further diagnosed with a failing turbo. After I changed turbo still no change. Other reputable mechanics told me they had doubts that the intake was ever cleaned so I had it pulled apart again after driving it 3000km since autoplus cleaned and I was shocked what I saw. The intake was still covered in carbon. Not cleaned at all. Not one bit. Very disappointed. Do not recommend

Had to change the review. Very dishonest did not do the job we payed for. Here is the result of an intake manifold we payed to get cleaned 3/4000km ago. Was not cleaned at all

Sam is the man. full stop!!! Took my first car there fantastic then my second car the v8 Diagnosed and fixed what two other mechanics failed to do simply put he’s a top mechanic very knowledgeable and honest as can be. Look no further take your car there I cannot recommend him enough!

I have been going to AutoPlus for years and I have received Quality service everytime. Last three, four years I been dealing with Sam it was someone else before but I have found no difference in work quality and price. It's actually got better and also while everyone else have increased the price AutoPlus prices are still the same. Can't find a better place for my car repairs. Have a great holiday you guys deserve it specifically Sam.

Sam and the team are absolutely the best in business. Sam knows his stuff and is very clear with his recommendations. I am a lil paranoid about mechanics overall, but not even once I felt that way with Sam. Ps: I was referring a friend to him and thought of putting up a review.

I recently attended a workshop and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. The facilitator was knowledgeable, engaging, and really helped me to understand the material. The workshop was well-structured and covered a lot of ground, but the pace was just right and I never felt overwhelmed. Been going there for years. Great service. However, place has been closed for months now. Was advised they would open around Easter. Now the contact number is disconnected. Completely in the dark.

Good customer service and they were able to fit me in quickly. The garage kept me informed of what they had found wrong with my car and how they could fix it, if I authorised the repairs. The only thing is, they don’t open before 8am so it makes it tricky to drop a car off before work. They have a key drop box somewhere outside the garage but I couldn’t locate it on the morning of dropping my car off. It would be much more helpful if someone was on hand to to do the early shift and be there to receive keys from customers who need to get off to work using public transport for the day.

One star rating for AutoPlus Hoppers Crossing. Apparently there’s a new management on board but I suggest that you don’t waste your time and go somewhere else. My customer experience was bad and the minor service wasn’t done properly by their mechanics. 1st thing when I got there to collect the keys, the lady on the front cant find it and added an extra item on the invoice which was not even replaced in the car.. lucky I pointed it out as I was about to pay for the wrong amount. After that it went downhill even further, when I was about to collect my car, it was left halfway up on the hoist - 2 front wheels on the hoist and rear wheels on the bottom like it’s on a 45 degree angle that at least 4-5 feet hoisted up the ground.. who in their right mind leaves a vehicle for a customer to pick up and reverse it like that??! This is could be an OHS issue and the car could have slipped dangerously. Secondly, I took it for a quick test drive and noticed that they stuffed up my traction control (light on), auto windows stopped working and didn’t even reset the maintenance service computer. I drove it back and their head mechanic was apprehensive when I pointed out these faults and even insisted that it’s not their fault but it appears that they played with the battery terminal and apparently reset the traction control and auto window — he talked back aggressively in the end trying to deny any wrong doing and loudly slammed the hood of my car — not professional at all! Overall I didn’t get any apologies from any of the staff as they just walked off rudely. Lastly, I checked the oil later that day and it appears that’s it wasn’t drained properly as the oil colour is not as clear as my previous oil change service - not acceptable! I gave them a second chance to try AutoPlus Hoppers again as a couple of years ago I got the wheel bearings replaced but it came back with a damaged ABS brake sensor and it costed me more $$$ in the end as they didn’t accept the responsibility of the damaged sensor. One thing that I also want to point out is that the new manager also insisted that I can’t just get the brake pad replacement but I made a couple of calls to the other local mechanics and they happily obliged that they can do it without any issues at all. I believe that he is trying to charge more $$ by getting extra unnecessary work to get more money from the customer - so better watch out for the extra unnecessary work to your vehicles. I hope that this will get reported to the AutoPlus management (head office) as this is not a good example on how to run a franchise.

Had a car inspected for pre purchase inspection and rwc done. Very fair, professional and thorough work carried out. Also very fair priced and good all round friendly service. I would definitely recommend this business.

I was looking for a real place who wouldn't...go oh great a woman we can say n fix anything. I was left with a broken car after Midas screwed me over. The guys here are what they, say what they do, how they treat you. 15 out of 10. I not only got my exactly what I said was the problem, also found an issue I was unaware of, yet explained the noise I heard. The price..the service and the work...screw you Midas. These guys treat women with respect. I will return next service. ????????

They used to be good but very expensive now. Recently took my car there and they charge their parts at x3 the MSRP price, disappointed, won't be taking my car back there again.

Excellent service fixing my amarok wheel bearings knowing it would be a nightmare job but it drives like a plane flying now. The boys will be glad not to see that type of job ever again lol.

My brother went for RWC and got cheat by these people without doing no thing. They charged him $270 for just looking the car. And giving heavy quotation. Don’t go here you will be charge without doing nothing on the car. If you do you will pay heavy if you don’t do anything still you have to pay heavy.

Very pleasant experience, polite professional staff. And all four rotors and brake pads were completed in just on an hour and a half. Competitively priced. Will go back
