Steve and Mick really looked after my car and it's great to find people that care about what they are doing..give them a go you won't regret it .the car drives like new by the way ..?

When I brought my VL to Vops Automotive it was a tired, clapped out ex drag car that had been sitting for many years. I sat down with Steve and went through everything that needed doing to bring it up to Roadworthy. A lot of work was carried out to make it safe, reliable and perform well. The car is now registered and on the road and I’m stoked with the outcome.

Vops did a fantastic number on our car readying it for sale. Really appreciate the care and attention to detail, and the flexibility in todays world.

Stephen and the guys provide a great service. I had a fault with my car and they promptly resolved the issue. They weren't trying to over service or push any extras, just doing a good quality and genuine job. They are trustworthy and reliable which is what you want in a mechanic.

This was my first experience with Steve and the team at VOPS and I can highly recommend them. My regular mechanic was unable to fix my car at short notice (I had a 5-day turnaround before a roadworthy appointment) and Steve somehow squeezed in my job and I was rapt with the super friendly service, the quality of the work and the cost was even cheaper than my original mechanic had suggested it would be. Trust is such a massively important part of a mechanic/client relationship and my experience with VOPS was awesome and wanted to take the time to highly recommend.

Sent car to be detailed after body repairs and I left my makita 18 volt impact driver in it , I should’ve went to get right away but thought it’s ok it will be back the following day when car was returned no impact driver in it When I asked about It I was told nah nothing was in And I know exactly what bolt I used it last on and where it was placed If you send car there be sure to remove any valuables as they guys there have sticky fingers

I don’t know if Vops is the cheapest because I don’t go anywhere else. But they are the friendliest and best. This is what it’s like,, Receptionist - friendly and very helpful Mechanic 1 - Initial diagnosis done in the office, based on my feedback. Mechanic 2 - Second diagnosis done while giving me a lift home. Steve (Vop) - Keep me informed and let me know when it was done, even tho he was at home sick. Receptionist- Waited back after 5pm so I could pick up the car. Just awesome service and the car is back to perfect. Any the price was less than $500 so very happy.

I've just had my car serviced for the Christmas holiday period (200,000km Camry). What I said in my previous review still holds. I've been using Vops Automotive for the service of my car purchases for decades now ( even before Vops moved to Heidelberg from Bulleen ). Over time, I've serviced Nissan 4WD SUV, Peugeot cabriolet, Camry sedan... Steve (owner) takes the time to explain what needs to be done, and most importantly I trust him to do the work properly, the first time. At the end of the day, he makes the time to come & see you to explain what was done and explain what may need doing next time. I hope this review helps potential customers have the confidence & trust to service or repair their vehicle at Vops. I will continue to service my car purchases at Vops. Steve was a fantastic help getting my roadworthy done! The team got me in so quickly and it was seamless! I have already booked in my other car for a roadworthy and detailing too to get it ready for sale. Steve has been a great support through a process I’ve been unsure of.

My car broke down and I rang my regular mechanic who was busy at the time, he referred me to Steve from Vops Automotive. My car was eventually towed to Vops Automotive at night of the incident. Steve communicated with me in detail the problem with the car and it was fixed and running the following day. Excellent customer service and got the job done at reasonable cost! Highly recommend them!

Unfortunately my experience at this place was negative. Picked the business based on local reviews but sadly it didn't stack up. After 3 different visits and diagnostic, the vehicle still was unrepaired. Ended up getting it sorted elsewhere. Edit: Steve, if you like me to post the paid invoices on here or your apology SMS to make the review worse, let me know "mate".

Vops automotive took care of my 1997 Hiace. Were available the same day, after a call in the morning with Steve: "come over anytime!". Taken care of RWC at a very reasonable price and did an excellent job! The kindest and fairest people! Parts like break lights etc were provided the same day and with ease. Very recommended!

We have had our car serviced and a mirror fixed, both times were incredible service, full transparency and options given for the repairs. Wonderful, quality service. Highly recommend!

Tried to charge more than the price quoted over the phone. Put down next service due in 10,000km instead of 15,000km as per log book. Probably to get me to come back sooner. Couldn’t reset service light and asked me come back the following week. Still couldn’t do it and said they would find out why and give me a call. Haven’t heard from them since.

Had a great experience at vops. I have been going to a dealership that clearly wasnt taking very good care of my car. I went to Steve and he explained everything to me about whats going on so I can really understand the problem. Reasonable price and super thorough. I really appreciated the service. Thank you!

I wish I could give zero stars this is one of the worst. Sorry the worst mechanic shops I’ve ever been to went to go get my car roadworthy got the defect list back got overcharged for the inspection Took the car to a proper mechanic shop, the mechanic pulled apart all the things that were on the defect lists The mechanic told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the parts. I would not recommend this shop

Obtained a RWC and it was so uncomplicated and straight forward. Repairs were carried out promptly on the day. VOPS were knowledgeable and. efficient.

Steve is an absolute life saver who does an incredible job. He was happy to have make space in his flat out schedule to get my car up and running in no time and ran me through the process every step of the way. Communication was 10/10 and my car runs better than ever. Top dude doing top work. Highly recommend seeing him if you're having any issues or need work done.

These guys are legends. They completed a RWC on very short notice, did an amazing job and even gave me a 6 pack of beer once they realised that it was my birthday on the day of collection. Highly recommended!

Had a small job to fix wheel bearings on a box trailer, and Steve was nothing less than excellent. Even being short staffed he made every effort to get the job done. Very hard to find honest and reliable mechanics these days and Steve is both. Highly recommend.

A+++!! Found out about Vops Automotive from a friend and I’ll never look back!! The last few services that my Prado had were at a reputable dealer. I was thoroughly dissatisfied with how the car came back, their service teams lack of knowledge and unable to pinpoint issues. Have just got my car back from Vops Automotive and the results speak for themselves. My Prado feels like it did the day I bought it. Everything is tighter, it’s driving better than it has in a long time and the way it’s meant to be. Highly recommended and I won’t be going elsewhere again.

went at 9 no buddy was at reception after 30 minutes someone show up even worse then that i got wrong RWC thats what Vicroad staff told us then i called them 2 times was said to 15 minutes to get RWC we waited 2 hours then when i called Steve pick up phone i asked why take so long he became rude and angry on me and he said not my fault you got wrong RWC and then he hang up . 0 star .

my experience with vops has been disappointing my wife and daughter brought 2 cars from this place and had issues from the start that needed to rectified, one of the cars we brought had transmission issues and took 2 months to be fixed, then had some more issues with the transmission and needed to be taken back and had to wait a while again for the transmission to be replaced. My daughters car needed a water pump which was explained when she put a deposit down and it took a while for her to able to pick up the car, 3 months later its had some issues over heating upon having a coolant flush from somewhere else it started happening again so we took it back to a mechanic who stated that it needs a new water pump and coolant overflow bottle please do not go to this mechanic as they tell us that things are fixed only for it to still have issues!!

Steve and the team are efficient, very helpful and provide superb service. The explained everything very clearly to me throughout the whole process of repairing my car. They are also very well priced. I highly recommend them.

Took my beaten up old van into Steve to do a roadworthy for me to get ready to sell it. He took care of everything very quickly for me and also organised a car detail for me. The van came up a treat and sold it 2 days later for 5k more than I expected! Highly recommend Steve and the boys at Vops. Great to deal with and very quick and efficient.

Called VOPS for a road worthy certificate at very short notice and Steve was incredibly helpful to accommodate. From the start including the phone call, arriving to reception, communication during the day, and pick up of my vehicle including the roadworthy certificate was so impressive. Steve is old school, hard working, excellent customer service and friendly. He even helped and gave really good advice for the selling of my car. Highly recommend VOPS, don’t bother ringing anyone else!
