Would never take my car back here again Was charged $79 for an oil change and they didn't even tighten the sump screw properly leaking oil all over my driveway I call them but to busy to simply tighten a screw and then was told my brake pads need replacing urgently so I take it to another mechanic and he tells me and shows me my brake pads are still good for atleast another 12 months sorry but this was my experience and hopefully you lift your game

Car stopped working because of fuel pump not working and had to get it replaced. Searched for the closet mechanic that was with the RSCV group and found Rapid Tune in derrimut. The people were easy to talk to, understood the problem and had order in part for my Honda - took less than 3 days to get and install. Awesome! Had a fuel leak from the petrol tank- fixed it in under 3 hours ? - super happy with this crew. They were able to respond to me via text or email - even at 11pm night - so impressed with them! Thank you Rapid Tune in derrimut - you are all awesome! Thank God you were there to help me!

I strongly urge anyone in the west of Melbourne to head to Chris at Rapid Tune Derrimut, finding a trustworthy mechanic can sometimes be a daunting prospect and I am so glad to have found a mechanic that is so passionate, professional and understanding. He always acts in the best interest of his customers and will go the extra mile to help out. I had a critical failure in my engine and had to be towed to his workshop in the middle of the night on the weekend, first thing Monday morning Chris called me and empathized with me and laid out the plan of action while I fumbled around trying to deal with my sudden lack of transportation. After he had clearly explained the options and offered his honest opinion I decided to let it go and the next day he arranged for it to be collected and taken away while also offering valuable advice on the purchase of a replacement vehicle. He also handled the sale fee to the scrapyard and passed it straight along to me and just generally made the whole sudden dilemma of losing my sole vehicle that much less stressful. I have been coming to him for years and will continue bringing my vehicle to his comprehensive and caring attention for many years to come!

Took my car here for a service. I was informed about the problems and how much it would cost prior to any work being completed so I wouldn’t be shocked with any additional fees at the end. I was also told what time they would be finished and true to their word, it was done in the time they said and the cost was exactly what they quoted me. No surprises here, just good quality service all around. I’ve recommended Chris and Jordan to my family and friends and I highly recommend to any other girls that want an honest mechanic that won’t try to rip them off to see Chris and Jordan at Rapid Tune in Derrimut. I could not recommend Derrimut Rapid Tune enough!! they are 100% knowledgeable, honest, respectful and able to explain the issues in easy to understand language to their customers!! Their entire approach in their business is one of looking after their customers, something that is sadly lacking at a lot of other places and something I am very grateful for as I know absolutely nothing about how cars run! They have always done a superb job in servicing our vehicles and on this occasion they went far beyond the extra mile!! My sons car was having a number of issues, transmission, exhaust, sensors, diagnostics and stalling. Chris and his crew were amazing, professional and excellent in communicating with me, as well as explaining all the issues in plain English!! :-) They were flexible with my drop off and pick up times and were open and honest in all their dealings. They gave me the costs involved for their work as well as researching information for me and further costs involved if I had to source specific Ford services. Their knowledge, open and honest service is evident in how they conduct their business and their relationship with their customers. Chris's honesty was obvious when, after testing our cars large number of issues, removing parts to properly test them and doing a cost analysis, told me that due to the cars age and condition that if I were to start fixing all the issues it would cost me far more than the cars value, running into the multiple thousands. This honesty and professionalism is remarkable as far as I am concerned! I know nothing about cars so I do rely on mechanics and their knowledge base. Chris could have easily done all the work and charged me but he chose to be honest with me in saying the cost of fixing the issues far outweighed the cars value. He then went even further and put it all back together at no charge! My partner and I went to rapid tune to get a roadworthy so his car (LS400) could be transferred into my partners name. My partner worked as a mechanic and serviced, looked through his own car and fixed what needed to be fixed and left 1 problem that was minor to see if it would be pointed out and if rapid tune was going to be dodgy. Well my partner was right, they tried to get money out of us by putting a list of problems that don’t exist and didn’t even point out the 1 problem that he left there. We went to drop off the car at 8:30am and left at 3:30pm. don’t waste your time going, they will try to root money out of you and say certain problems exist and try to blame it on vicroads when clearly all over his face he was embarrassed and was caught lying. Even lied about how much the roadworthy cost. $200 on the phone ended up $250 when he was finished. He even said “I’ll get the quote ready of how much these fixes will be to get it done here asap” and we were like no thanks. He tried to say there was a power steering leak, engine leak, transmission and diff leak when we fixed the power steering few days prior. And more things he tried to list. He didn’t even know how to look at the car or where anything was. We washed the car 5 mins before we got there. The car was sitting in my driveway with no leaks for a long time, we drove it in the heat for over 20 min when we dropped it off it stayed there for a while with no leaks. We caught him in a lie when we pulled this up, he said “if you look I just put the car over there and there’s a leak” he clearly put something there and it was fresh like he did it just before we got there. I would stay away from this place and go elsewhere. Don’t bother, don’t waste your money and especially your time.

Never come back, it cost our a lot of money to fix our car air conditioner system which were guaranteed for one year. After a few times using it , it didn’t work. They told me to bring the car back and wanted to charge more for diagnosis. Dishonest and unprofessional.

Disappointed, never come back I recently had my car's air conditioning system fixed at Rapid Tune Derrimut which cost me a lot of money with one year warranty. Unfortunately, the system broke down again after only a few uses. When I was told to bring the car back to the service center, they wanted to charge more additional fees for the diagnosis and follow-up fix. It was very disappointed and frustrating.

Friendly staff, helped me with advance booking, sent email and txt msg as friendly reminder. Did general service and checkup, filled my log book and kept me in loop as to what all needed to be fixed with reasonable price and provided me with courtesy car to go to work. Timing was perfect, provided me overview of work they carried out and general performance of my car. They took pictures before and after to show what was the issue so people can understand.
