A big 'shout out' to Luke, the Midas Mechanic in Mackay for making my day, when bringing my vehicle into the workshop this afternoon. Luke and the ladies in the office provided the best possible service and were very prompt in assisting with my vehicles issue (not just today but on another occasion as well). On both visits, they were also considerate of my budget which put me at ease. So if you are looking for a great local business to look after your motor vehicle, so you have little stress, then I highly recommend these guys :)

I was in transit between Airlie Beach & Brisbane when I had a oil leak problem that was apparently fixed at Airlie Beach I was approached by a staff member at a opposition business and was told they could look at it for me I can’t thank the boys at Midas enough for getting my problem sorted and I could not complain one bit very professional boys well done And until next time thank you very much one happy camper ?

Absolute amazing service from the boys at Midas. After having my car towed over 100km the night before, one phone call to Midas and they got my car straight in that morning, and identified the problem and had it fixed before I had to move to brisbane the day after! They definitely don’t only care about money! They are genuine and efficient. So happy with the service I received and will definitely be recommending to all. Thank you again! After experiencing car problems on a road trip from Sydney, and unsuccessfully attempting to organise an appointment with other mechanics and dealers, we were referred to MIDAS in Mackay, who were able to see us immediately. They dealt with our problem and sent us on our way to enjoy the rest of our holiday. Great service, great mechanic, thank you MIDAS!!

Very poor service.. poor knowledge I have had my car in at this business now 11 times and paid $2500 for this slight noise to be gone and still there They have no idea what they are doing Just sent me a quote for another $500 to have the noise fixed? Advised already that I am paying no more Here I am now having to go to a different mechanic to pay more for something this company should have fixed Both owners put the blame on the other Steer clear Read the long reply written from this company which just proves how dodgy they are to write such a long story to a review Two key points I will make from their response There was only ever one noise which is still there They are not a charity ? Really I have paid $2500 for one issue which is still there I feel like the charity giving away free money Honestly don’t go to this mechanic they are DODGY PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS FROM OTHER UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS ON FACEBOOK I certainly wish that I had done this as would have saved money not thrown it away to cowboys before having to go and get the problem fixed by people who know what they are doing ..

Took my diesel hyundai santa fe to this business for a general service and and overall check of my car. I found the staff to be friendly, informative about what was done to my car and what will need doing next service, with no pushiness to repair non urgent things things straight away, pricing was fair and I would happily recommend this company and will continue to take my car here at this stage.

Russell was an absolute legend and fixed our awful day by showing kindness and genuine care for his customers. After buying a new car only for it to break down that same day he identified the problem for us before they even opened and then gave us a ride to the airport so we could still get to where we needed to go and offered to look after our car while we’re gone. Could not recommend Midas enough and thanks again for all your help! ????????

Came 2 times for RWC and service The Rwc wasn’t right but i pay only once even when i comeback after the works i did in my car The service was approximately good and fast, they just didn’t know how to fix a roof window issue. They don’t put importances on a problem which could be devastator, cause one of my wheel make sounds like a train when i downgrade, they didn’t detect it and they check the mechanics of the wheel and all was good apparently. But that sound is not normal. Then if i die because of that it could be on their fault ???? I may forget that and attributed 5 stars Thank you

Cannot recommend enough. I had to find a new mechanic and on 2 urgent occasions-the first literally an out of the blue SOS- I rang Midas on both situations and my car was serviced immediately. The most respectful, welcoming and caring team. Efficient and thorough.

Asked to book a day n time reception said would you like it done now? Ah YES!! As a young woman I’m always wary that mechanics will either treat me like I’m dumb or try and get money out of me but Russell at Midas Mackay is honest, realistic and cares about you spending your money wisely and understanding what’s going on. I went to MIDAS after my 1st mechanic quoted me a whole list of issues with my Suzuki jimny which were going to cost me about 3k$. MIDAS did an inspection and said that my car was fine and only thing they would recommend is a wheel alignment. I cannot praise them enough ... I hate it when mechanics take advantage of the fact that I am a female with little mechanical knowledge and a mine worker. MIDAS are genuine and honest and I'll Definitely be going back and recommending them to all my mates!

Fantastic customer service and excellent job on car. Rang first thing in the morning and they fitted me in later in the morning and job done my 11am.highly recommended....a+++

I went for a RWC inspection that was rejected because of details that were not necessary to approve the certificate ( i realised that when I asked for a second opinion). Also you charged me for that and even it was rejected you never charge it in the system as you were supposed to do. I noticed that when I another person did the service for me and told me. So you were completely dishonest with me you just wanted some to make money with me (snd probably others). If someone ask for recommendations I would certainly ask not to go with you.

The service I received has to be one of my best experiences I have had with any mechanics shop over my 30 years ,I am travelling full time on the road in my rooftop tent and I explained my situation they instantly put my car on hoist 200 series , had it fixed next day main engine seal massive job and gave me an amazing price only wish he/they were my local mechanic ,best ever
