I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I received from Midas Brighton. I brought my car to their mechanic for a routine service and paid over $1111.00 on January 3rd, 2023. Unfortunately, within a month, my car broke down multiple times, causing me a great deal of inconvenience and additional expenses of $7000.
The mechanic had claimed to have replaced the gasket kits, but I noticed oil leaks around them after the service. I had to pay Honda Astoria for the exact same repair. After the service, the car started having issues with accelerating and broke down at least three times.
Since I trusted Midas Brighton, I had my car towed back to them to re-inspect and rectify the issues. However, they stopped answering my calls, and I had to use a private number to finally get in touch with the owner/manager, Sam. To my surprise, he told me that they "couldn't find out what the issues were" and couldn't fix the car.
As a result, I had to tow my car to Honda Astoria, who informed me that the ECU, starter motor, and transmission were not working properly, causing multiple breakdowns. Honda Astoria also pointed out that these were pre-existing issues that should have been detected during the service at Midas Brighton. I was disappointed that Midas Brighton's mechanics failed to identify these problems, causing me additional expenses and inconvenience.
Furthermore, Honda Astoria informed me that Midas Brighton had installed the wrong type of oil filter during the service, which was not suitable for my car. I found it astonishing that even such a simple task was not carried out properly and caused further expenses for me.
Overall, my experience with Midas Brighton was extremely disappointing, and the poor quality of work and lack of customer service caused me a great deal of frustration and inconvenience.
