Dec-21: Wheel alignment keeps going off - was advised that both front shock absorbers and brushes needed replacement. Staff said this will fix the wheel alignment issue when asked. Staff also said wheel alignment will be complementary. After a $1k replacement cost, 1. Tyres not aligned straight out of the workshop 2. Feb-22 - alignment got worse over time Excessive upselling and not treating the root cause. Wont bother to revisit

Rushed to get a new compressor in for my aircon as I was told to come back in Monday to regas, though rang and played dumb and tried to palm it off on to another employee. If that's how front of staff treat their own I dare wonder how they treat their clients.

Went to get my wheel bearings done my car us at the point I dont want to drive it, Midas tell me bring it in We can get it done tomorrow, bring it in tomorrow to be turned back around useless

Saved my day! My car wouldn't start a couple of blocks away from the shop. I went to Midas and they drove out to my car to jump start it, then did a battery health check and offered to replace my old battery for a fair price. Saved me calling RACQ! I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, great service, great team, knowledgeable, explains well, helpful

Doesn’t answer the phone. Took all day to do a simple job. Very disappointing.

Honest reliable, just good huys

I found the experience to be average. The manager was away for the week I was booked to have my car serviced. The staff member who was left in charge was 40 minutes late and gave a very insincere apology. However I was pleased with how well priced the service was compared to my old mechanic. According to another customer I was waiting with, the service is normally amazing here when the manager is on so I will be returning to see how my next service differs with his presence. One thing I did notice is my car didn't have that same "smooth drive" feeling it normally does after a service, so I do wonder whether it was given proper attention.

I have had my BMW in a couple of times for some pretty serious work and I could not be happier with the service, quality of work and the price, my car now feels and drives like new. These guys have literally saved me thousands of dollars had I taken it to a dealer for the same work. I will be back again and I have no issue recommending them, keep up the great work. ?

Great service, my steering wheel was shaking while I was driving down the road took it in to Midas they advised me that my front rotors where warped and the pads were getting low after the repair I cannot fault the car, they did a great job at a good price, within a few hours the car was finished would recommend to anyone that has any car issues.

Not only did these guys sell me a car with a dodgy compliance plate but when I took it for its first service I discovered all the fluids were sludge and the brakes need replacing. When asking why the brakes didn’t last 4000km, I was called a “tight c$&t” It’s one thing to sell a car without properly serving it first, but to use such foul abusive language when called out… that’s too far. Deal with these guys at your own risk. You’ve been warned!

Best price good family run business and great customer service

I came in for a transmission service here, and I’ve never been treated this well by any other shop. Customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced. They are quick with what they do, and they are the easiest to talk to. My car runs beautifully now. Thank you so much to Haris for looking after me and my car. I appreciate you so much! I am now loyal customer for sure. I highly recommend this shop for your vehicle needs. Best in the GC no doubt!!!

This owner was disgusting to deal with. Apart from a massive over quote of $800 for 2 tyres which were then not in stock, he then abused “who we think was his partner” and kicked her and abused her. We promptly left. This was absolutely sickening to watch. Disgusting service!!!

I can't speak more highly of Michael and the team! We had major computer problems with our car and these were solved quickly and professionally. The boys were extremely friendly and most helpful and their cost was very reasonable!! I could not recommend them more highly especially for "oldies" like ourselves - their care for us was priceless. We have found ourselves a new mechanic!!

I took my car for a service to Midas Southport. Haris was fantastic and made me feel so welcome. I wanted my service to be completed the day after my enquiry and Haris said , sure no problem. He took the time to explain the service and exactly what it entailed. I am very happy with the work completed on my car and the price I paid. Haris I can’t thank you enough, I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend MIDAS SOUTHPORT.

The yard itself was very congested with cars. The office was difficult to access as cars were parked right over the only side entry door. The businesses opposite had trucks and heavy vehicles coming and going and blocking general access. A very industrial feel, but Trent, my contract there, though rough around the edges, was thoroughly welcoming and warm. He offered a very good deal with first service free and on road costs included. Ultimately though the car was a little scruffy with scratches in paintwork, cracks in protective bonnet strip, small stains on upholstery and the very faint smell of cat pee. Fairly cosmetic issues all round. The deal itself was fairly sound.

Took my car in for some break repairs and found them to be extremely affordable and efficient! Haris is one of the owners of Midas and he kindly assisted me with my car's faults. Haris has an exceptional knowledge of his job and provides efficient customer service skills. He put out great vibes and was all round a great guy. 10/10 would recommend this place!

These guys are an actual group of champions! Affordable, friendly and funny. Such a reliable mechanic experience I would 100% recommend anyone and everyone go here flat out.

I was in contact with Haris for my repairs. After my car had major difficulties driving normally and had leaking issues, Haris was more than enough help to fix my issues and more. I drive a performance car and my car came back in better condition than brand new! Very pleased with results and taking care of me.

I have never felt more looked after by a Mechanic in my life. I had my car booked in on Friday morning for squeaking noises, on my way to Southport from north GC my car began to overheat, I called Harris and he had a tow truck to me within 30 minutes and It was also very reasonably priced! I ended up needing my water pump and drive belt replaced and Harris confirmed that he was able to get my parts discounted by about $400 and had them in the car by the next day. I could not recommend Midas Southport to anyone more, I am so grateful for all of Harris's and the teams help and have already booked my husbands car in for his next service on his truck :) THANK YOU!! We have definitely found our selves a new family mechanic!

11/10 service from Michael and Haris at Midas Southport, I was very well looked after by the team and was spoken through exactly what was done to my car so I wasn’t left with any questions. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

Got a screw in my tyre, so I asked for them to repair. As I was fully aware it could be repaired. I got a call from them, telling me the tyre was unrepairable and I would have to buy a new one! What dodgy people! Told them I'd come and pick up my tyre and took it next door!!! The guy said... this is definitely repairable and fixed it staight away and it only cost me $35!! Most useless people ever. And I had to wait 2 hrs while they had their "Friday Lunch" .

STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO BOYCOT THIS GARAGE. Customer service, the staff, everything about this place was horrendous. Please note, they get commission when they order parts. They will be ripping you off. One way or another. They didn’t/couldn’t even fix the wheel bearing problem. They installed 2 faulty wheel bearing on the same wheel. I had to take it to another garage after spending $1500+ with these so called mechanics. This review does not even deserve 1 star. Awful.
