I brought a new cat back exhaust and I received good service

They gave my son a job. He loved it even thou he did a lot of housekeeping and cleaned up the place. He still loved being there. He was there roughly 8 weeks. Then all of a sudden they put on a work experience fella and cut my sons hours back. Then it was we are quiet I will let you know monday. But what really happened is he put on a friend and wormed my son out. My son was gutted at being treated so bad . They didnt even have the guts to treat him like an adult and tell him the truth just lie after lie

Just recently took my car for repair just changing the belt, Apparently the guys from midas says there’s a problem on the engine ans i need to pay $7000 to fix it! And i refuse and took it to a another mechanic they say there’s no problem on the engine just the water pump! Midas doesn’t have full knowledge and they just want your money! Not recommend!

I made the effort to go in to ask if there was a way to fit a muffler to my diesel generator. Bloke didn't even bother to walk over to talk to me face to face, just got fobbed off as a nuisance. A negative shopping experience at Midas Port Adelaide.

They are professional with the information given out, while acting on your best interest. Great customer service skills, done an excellent job with the brakes on both of our cars and other jobs. We're happy returning customers.

Excellent service, good communication & fair pricing. My HIACE van drove so smoothly after my last service - such a joy. They have a new manager who is great: friendly, helpful & with a good sense of humour.

My endorsement for Midas at Port Adelaide and a big shout-out to Gerry in particular. I turned up this morning without a booking as the car sounded like the muffler had dropped off. Despite being fully booked, Gerry put the car up on the hoist immediately, to see what the problem was. As it turned out, the weld between the exhaust and the muffler flange had completely broken away. He removed the muffler and rewelded it then and there. Not a difficult job or time consuming but that was exceptional service. He could easily have booked me in two days later and I wouldn't have complained. Thumbs up from me!

I have called twice now to get a relatively easy mechanical job done. I asked for a price, twice I was told that I would get a call back. If you don’t want the business just be honest and don’t waste peoples time.

My partner took his car into Midas for a general service and waited in the local area for 4 hours before getting a call from the manager Gary to state that he hadn’t done any work on the car, because it needed a head gasket repair. He quoted $1650 and said the car was in otherwise perfect condition, so he strongly recommended to go through with the repairs. Was given an estimation of 5 days for the fix. 11 days later and after many phone calls to check the status of the car (some not well received by Gary) the car was ready to be picked up. Driving it home, he noticed something didn’t feel quite right, it was also stalling when in reverse. The radiator was completely full of oil, despite being told they had flushed it repeatedly. We took the car back for them to look and was told the radiator wasn’t dirty enough to be flushed, and they adjusted to idle to try combat the stalling. They also found another issue with the carby and quoted a further $450. When I questioned Gary as to why he didn’t see the carby issue before, he blatantly said he didn’t check it and made false claims. Gary told us the car was perfect condition beside the gasket and that is why we opted to fix it. The car itself wasn’t worth over $1600 so we didn’t want to put over $2000 into the car! We also found that the workshop lost the power steering fluid cap and it was our responsibility to pick up a new one. At this point, we requested a refund as the sale was made under false claims of the cars condition. We were denied by Gary and laughed at by the tradespeople. Even though the Midas guarantee states that these issues are to be dealt with in store, Gary refused to even discuss it, hiding away in the workshop instead. After big discussions with head office, consumer affairs and Gary, the car was eventually paid to be TOWED to ABS a few weeks later (the car was now not drivable and oil was overflowing from the radiator). Midas chose ABS as a second opinion. Here they found the car to blow smoke, misfire and quoted $2500 for a complete new engine. It was then that head office chose to give us the refund we requested a few weeks prior. So choose Midas if you want to be messed around with for a month, have your car come back in worse shape than it left you, and eventually have to scrap your car! Whenever I have taken my own car into Midas, I have had thousands of extra dollars work of work quoted, none of which any other mechanic can find or justify. I suppose they like to try and take advantage of women as well. However Rob at ABS Salisbury and Dan from Midas head office were both very helpful.

Absolutely amazed. Khala and Michael helped in every way possible! Could not ask for a better team. Fixed my car issues so quickly and went above and beyond. Highly recommend these guys !!! ❤️

Midas Port Adelaide are fantastic, our family have 4 cars that we take there for servicing and tyres. We have used them for a number of years, they will always fit us in if it’s urgent, they are a great team. They always call prior to starting the job and have it ready on time. There are no hidden surprises, they are upfront and honest. Would definitely recommend them.

Amazing service! Wanted a sports steering wheel for my VF commodore, I wanted the SS steering wheel but had no idea about finding one so I asked them and they found one same day and were able to install it for me the next day! Amazingly priced as well! Took all the hassle and effort off me to find one. Easiest mechanic shop I’ve ever done business with. Owners are very nice and love a good chat ???? I will be returning when my car needs anymore work done to it! I live in Munno Para and they are more than worth the trip.

I had an exhaust including muffler made and installed at port adelaidr store. Upon pick up I looked and the exhaust pipe wasnt welded to flange ie no penetration of weld. I asked store owner and he advised its welded and check. Few weeks later I have car service elsewhere and they advise exhaust leak at welds. I ring midas and they agree to fix it and aware of poor workmanship. This worker has been let go. Today i get it repaired at midas, waste 2 hrs of my life. Store owner only can apologise and goes he was aware of poor work but not enough time to check so now customer has to waste their time. How many other cars have defective work that hasnt been picked up? If its midas mistake due to poor workmanship, then it would be professional if they express the repair today instead 2hr wait for 20min job and provided some form of compensation ie 30% refund. Not happy, you need to provide compensation for my wasted 2hrs. Store owner said only can say sorry.

My first service at Midas Pt Adelaide and was really impressed. Friendly and professional staff things clearly explained and questions answered. I will be going back. Also really competitive prices.

I Rang them and booked an oil and filter change and degrease the motor to which they agreed. 2 hrs later they rang and stated it needed another $1000 of repairs, which I declined. I went to pick it up, looked under the car and oil still leaking. I told the manager and he said it should have been done. They then went out with a Karcher and degreased it in the driveway with oil running through the carpark towards Hungry Jacks. Another customer walked through all the oil getting into her car. So dodgy this mob, I should have read their reviews before using them. Can't believe they are still in business. Didn't even stamp the correct page in the log book!!

Geat service with that personal level experience, and was always co operative in attention to details as well as ensuring all repairs were maintained within a time frame. Having a hire car at my disposal was also a great help to me.

Was worried about going to a franchise brake and mechanical place. But all my fears were not necessary. I took my car in for new brakes. The price was great the service was great and the work was great. If I had to mention any negatives, it was they didn't clean all the brake dust from the wheels. Besides that everything was great and I would highly recommend to anyone. I am so happy as soon as I get some time I will sending my car back there for a service.

Great business to deal with. My car's clutch went and they helped me organise affordable towing and my car was fixed ready to pick-up the following day. They were honest and upfront and didn't try to charge me for unnecessary repairs or parts. I will definitely be using them for future mechanical repairs.

As a woman who mostly goes to mechanics alone I've been ripped off countless times. Midas have never in the 2 years I've been going ever ripped me off, ever had unexpected charges and ALWAYS without fail take amazing care of me and do a fantastic job on whatever car I have. I can't recommend them highly enough. The previous owners were awful and the new owners deserve to have all the good reviews they can get, they've built the place back up and run an extremely respectable business and take care of their employees and customers. Even now I live up north and still travel down to the Port to stay with them. Just go there. Best mechanics around

Switched to this location after harbourtown shafted me dry and told me with dumb wonder that my brakes were in absolute perfect condition following an ACCIDENT where they failed on a main road, and as I drove away to a side street (to get towed to port adelaide) my engine screamed at me. Ended up being an extensive list of things that were in severe condition that were NOT BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY HARBOURTOWN AT MY LAST SERVICE JUST OVER 6 MONTHS AGO. Michael was more than happy to actually diagnose the issues with my car that unfortunately built up overtime courtesy of King Kirk at West beach who seems to prefer quick and easy services and not detailed diagnostics. Can now happily drive my car with the assurance that it was ACTUALLY LOOKED AT AND REPAIRED and that I will NOT hit a school child and send their backback flying

Had my car serviced and a miss fire issue looked at. I noticed there was still a problem after the service which they fixed straight away. Amazing customer service, work and price. I Highly recommend them.

I had a problem with the Electronic Stability Control on my Hyundai i30 & Midas were able to confirm that it was the same as 3 other vehicles & had it fixed the same day. They fitted me in when I broke down & had to be towed to them & I had my car back the same day even though they were extremely busy.

Called Midas Port Adelaide to see if they have a recommendation for someone to change my tires as they serviced my car back in August and I was very happy. not realising they provide this service I was able to get in the next day as they didn’t want me driving without a spare tire. Couldn’t be more grateful!

I had a quote from another mechanic that was significantly cheaper, but my son being trusting was told he would be getting mates rates & looked after. They value added to the job ringing him late in the day saying they could fix another part showing some wear while on the hoist giving another low ball price. The final bill was extremely high. There was no transparency, in fact they were completely misleading and mercenary how they conducted business. As a franchise find somewhere else !.
